Product Report

Product Report summarizes purchased-item records so staff can compare product sales and drill into the orders containing a product or configuration.

Date filters

Use Date Start and Date Finish to restrict the purchased-item records included in the report. Apply the filter before comparing browser totals with an export.

Product rows

Product Report works from purchased-item data saved with completed orders. A row can include:

  • product title;
  • original product entry ID;
  • quantity sold;
  • total sales;
  • saved price and price including tax;
  • shipping;
  • site ID; and
  • selected product options or configuration.

Different option combinations may appear as separate rows. For example, a Large / Green item can be reported separately from Small / Blue even though both originated from the same product entry.

This is intentional: purchased-item records describe what the customer bought, not only the product entry’s current values.

Drill-down behavior

  • The product title can generate an order report containing that purchased product or configuration.
  • The entry ID opens the original ExpressionEngine product entry.

Editing the current product entry does not rewrite historical purchased-item records.

Export

CSV and XLSX actions export the complete filtered result. Product options can contain nested or structured data; downstream tools should not assume every option is a simple scalar.
